There’s a specific kind of magic that happens when a vintage engine roars to life in the heart of Hamilton County. Whether you’re cruising down Hixson Pike or showing off your pride and joy at a local meetup near the Coker Museum, classic cars are the heartbeat of Tennessee car culture. But let’s be real: keeping a vintage beauty looking like it just rolled off the showroom floor: or better yet, making it a one-of-a-kind masterpiece: is no small feat.
Welcome to your ultimate guide to classic car restoration. If you’ve been searching for an auto paint shop near me that actually understands the soul of a classic, you’ve found your crew. At Candy Executives, we don’t just fix cars; we breathe new life into them. From minor collision repairs to full-blown custom transformations, we’re here to take your ride from "mild to wild."
Why Hixson is the Perfect Hub for Car Enthusiasts
Hixson and the greater Chattanooga area aren't just places on a map; they are thriving communities of gearheads, collectors, and weekend warriors. We have a rich automotive heritage here. When you’re looking for classic car restoration, you want a shop that’s as invested in the local scene as you are.
We know the local roads, we know the local weather (hello, Tennessee humidity!), and we know exactly what it takes to make a car stand out at the next Friday night cruise-in. Choosing a local expert means you get personalized attention and a partner who treats your vehicle like a work of art, not just another job number.
The Art of the Finish: Custom Car Paint That Pops
When people think of custom car paint, they often think of a simple color change. At Candy Executives, we think much bigger. Our specialty is in the finishes that make people stop and stare.
We specialize in high-impact, specialty finishes that you won’t find at your average production shop:
- Candy Paints: Deep, translucent layers that provide a "wet" look with incredible depth.
- Metal Flakes: From subtle shimmer to heavy-hitting sparkles that catch the sun.
- Pearls: Elegant, color-shifting finishes that glow from every angle.
- Marbleized & Kameleon: For the truly adventurous who want a finish that changes as you move.
Whether you want traditional flames, true-fire, or a sleek, modern pearl finish like our signature QO Red Pearl Corvette, our artists are ready to bring your vision to life.
From Collision to Custom: The Full-Service Advantage
Life happens. Sometimes it’s a shopping cart at the grocery store; sometimes it’s a more serious fender bender. If you’ve been in an accident, don’t settle for a "good enough" repair. We are a full-service auto paint and body shop. We work directly with insurance claims to ensure your vehicle is restored to its former glory: or better.
Think of it as the perfect opportunity for an upgrade. Why go back to factory stock when you could add a custom stripe or a specialized clear coat? We handle everything:
- Precision collision repair.
- Expert color matching.
- Frame straightening.
- Full custom restorations.
The Restoration Roadmap: How We Get You Back on the Road
Restoring a classic car can feel overwhelming. Where do you even start? We’ve streamlined the process to be as fast, reliable, and stress-free as possible.
1. The Consultation
We sit down and talk shop. Are we going for a period-correct restoration or a wild, custom creation? We’ll look at your vehicle, discuss your budget, and map out the transformation.
2. Precision Preparation
A great paint job is 90% prep. We strip, sand, and smooth until the surface is flawless. Check out our geometric paint masking techniques: this is where the precision happens.
3. The Artistry
This is where the magic happens. Our experienced artists apply your chosen finish: flakes, pearls, or candies: with expert precision. We don't just spray; we create.
4. The Final Reveal
After the final clear coat is buffed to a mirror shine, we hand you the keys. It’s the best part of our job.
We’ve Got Your Back: Towing and Rentals
We know that a project: or a repair: can disrupt your routine. That’s why we’ve built strong relationships with local partners in Hixson and Chattanooga to keep you moving.
- Need a lift? We coordinate towing through trusted local partners.
- Need to get to work? We’ll help coordinate car rentals so you aren't stranded while your beauty is in the shop.
